Little details that help everything fall into place

Planning a cake is exciting but can feel a little overwhelming, especially if you're organising everything from abroad. These are some of the questions I’m most often asked, along with clear, helpful answers to guide you through the process.

How far in advance should we book?

I recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weddings between May and September. Dates are limited and often reserved a year or even two in advance.
How do I secure my date?

Once you’re happy with your quote, a 50% non-refundable booking fee secures your date. The remaining balance is due no later than one month before the event.
Can you create a custom design?

Absolutely. Every cake is bespoke and designed with your event in mind, whether it’s inspired by your florals, invitations, wedding dress or something meaningful to you.
Can I choose more than one flavour?

Yes. Flavour variations come at no extra cost. If you’re having a tiered cake, each tier can be different.
Do you offer cake samples?

Yes. The Luxury Cake Sample Boxes are available for collection or delivery throughout the year by appointment and are subject to availability. They are priced at €55 and include five flavours of your choice. Availability is limited during peak wedding season (May to September).
Do you deliver?

Yes, I deliver all across the Algarve. A delivery and setup fee applies, based on your venue’s location. I don’t allow wedding cakes to be collected. I personally deliver and set them up to ensure they’re perfectly displayed and handled with care.
Do you cater for dietary requirements?

All cakes are made in the same kitchen, so there is always a risk of cross-contamination. I can make adjustments for vegan diets or mild intolerances, but not for severe allergies.
Can we meet in person?

If I have availability, I’d be happy to meet in person. Most of my clients are based overseas, but if you're in the Algarve please ask and I’ll do my best to arrange something locally. I work from a private home studio which isn't open to the public, but I’m happy to travel somewhere nearby if our schedules align. If that’s not possible, I’m more than happy to arrange a video call.
How much do your cakes cost?

Each cake is priced individually depending on size, finish and level of detail. You’ll receive a bespoke quote based on your event needs.
